The Bordeaux glass from Stölzle's 'Quatrophil' glassware series is characterized by the series' iconic exterior, which is dominated by a prominently shaped drinking goblet. What makes this glass even more unique is its functional goblet shape, which is perfect for presenting Bordeaux wines. This is due to the deep maximum diameter of the goblet, which perfectly accentuates the bouquet of powerful, tannin-forward wines.
This allows for a large surface area just millimetres above the obtuse-angled ground of the goblet. Upwards, the side walls are almost entirely straight with a slight tilt towards each other, giving the calyx almost a slender stature.
A machine-drawn stem originates underneath the goblet and quickly tapers to a thin, even handle. Therefore, the lightweight glass can be easily swiveled and then simply be lifted to the mouth.

The "Quatrophil" collection by manufacturer Stölzle is characterized by a delicate, yet extravagant shape.
