This Cabernet glass from the 'Performance' series by Riedel is dedicated to complex, full bodied red wines. Especially its wide but rather conventional shape allows it to serve many types of wines. However it was designed according to the characteristics of the grape varieties Cabernet and Merlot, two of the most important grapes in the world.
Besides its significant capacity, the goblet also features another optical feature: a wave-like pattern decorates the upper part of the thin-walled calyx near the rim. This adds a dynamic flair to the glass while simultaneously increasing the inner surface. This balances the aromas of the wine and creates a special drinking experience which benefits wines with a rich bouquet.
Besides the large calyx, the slim stem adds an elegant touch to the wine glass and seamlessly connects the calyx to the wide bottom plate. The Cabernet glass is made of crystal glass and features the Riedel logo in the base plate. These Cabernet wine glasses come in a case of 2.
