The Cabernet glass is particularly intended for enjoying full-bodied to strong red wines due to its grape varietal specific shape. The glass, and in particular the chalice of the glass, balances the high tannin content of such red wines and promises a drinking experience that is as close to perfect as possible.
The calyx of the Cabernet/Merlot glass comes from the legendary series 'Vinum' by Riedel and was fitted with a new stem to give the 'Wine' series a new face. Said stem looks like an antique column and carries the chalice like such.
The oval goblet is made of high quality thin crystal glass. Therefore dark Grape varieties such as Bordeaux, Cabernet Sauvignon and Tempranillo are recommended.
