Therefore, towards the top and bottom, the side walls taper evenly. At the narrow base of the goblet, they form a seamless transition into the machine-drawn stem of the glass. This very Transition is concave in nature and thus provides a relaxing counterpoint to the linear geometry of the goblet. A narrow and rounded base of the goblet acts as an effective mousse point.
