It is no coincidence that the Turkish glass manufacturer Pasabahce chose the title 'Monte Carlo' for the stemmed glass series. The city of Monte Carlo in the small but wealthy principality of Monaco is closely interwoven with casinos, yachts and lavish parties for the rich and the beautiful. Of course, champagne glasses are a must in all of these activities.
It is the goblet that first catches the eye, when one looks at this sparkling wine glass. Its lower part is funnel-shaped and seems to float inside the stem. The stem becomes wider towards this point and has a very slight bulge at the base of the chalice. It is not visually significant, but ensures good balance, even if you hold the glass between two fingers. The widest point of the chalice (6,7cm) is relatively high up. It then becomes narrower with a rim diameter of 5cm. The largest diameter is at the foot (7,5cm), which means that the champagne glass stands securely although it weights about 185g.
