Celebrate like Napoleon after his victory the russian army! The sabrage - the opening of a champagne bottle by breaking the head off the neck with a sword - is a ceremonial you can encounter in the upscale gastronomy and at festivities of all kind. If you want to give your guests a special experience you better become a Sabreur. Don't worry, it is easy as cutting a piece of cake.
This saber with a length of 45cm makes you feel the luxury which it actually is. The blade is thoroughly to the handling end forged of a singular and thick piece of steel ans so weighs proper 540g to power up the hit. The edge (28cm) is blunt (because you actually don't cut, but hit off the head)
The handle is made of light colored, unpainted wood which feels smooth and handy.
The end of the handle decorates a dark red, silk tassel. You can store the saber in the included wooden box.
The sabrage of champagne is not that hard and will get easier with a little practise. The champagne shouldn´t be too cold, otherwise the bottle could break. Before using the sword you need to take of the aluminium paper and wire basket. Hold the bottle in one hand, the bottle base is facing your body. Strech your arm in front of you. Take the sword with the other hand and place the flat blade on the bottle neck. Drag the sword along the bottle neck until you reach the lip and knock off the bottle neck. Broken glass won´t remain in the bottle. Due to the high pressure, broken glass will skid somewhere.
