The Giffard syrup chili brings a spicy and warm taste to your drinks. Chili can be a fantastic addition to many popular drinks. It adds a special something to an Old Fashioned, Martini and even Gin & Tonic, and awakens the spirits. Hot chocolate with chili syrup is also a promising combination - after all, cocoa and chili both come from Central America. This Giffard cocktail syrup is made with chilies from Mexico, Central and South America and beet sugar from France.
Giffard's beverage expert Raphaëlle Chaize has come up with an exciting recipe for the chili syrup. An alcohol-free, creamy-fruity-hot drink with butternut squash (a.k.a. butternut pumpkin). The Trick Or Treat Shake is Halloween and autumn themed - but should actually be enjoyed whenever a butternut squash is at hand.
Recipe Trick Or Treat Shake:
15ml chili syrup
35ml mango puree
35ml mashed butternut pulp with apple puree or apple juice
50ml coconut milk
Topping: whipped cream and caramel sauce
Preparation: Blend the ingredients with crushed ice in a blender until creamy. Place in a large glass or hollowed-out butternut squash. Garnish with whipped cream and caramel sauce.
Ingredients: Sugar, water, natural green pepper flavoring, natural chili flavoring, acidifier: citric acid, apple extract.
