The decanter is mouth-blown and each piece is unique. This can lead to deviations in the dimensions. Small irregularities and air pockets are also possible.
The Mamba decanter from Riedel is THE gift for everyone who loves to enjoy wine at the highest level. Because the handmade wine decanter not only helps the wine to develop the best possible aroma; it is also a visual highlight: the curved shape is reminiscent of a snake that is rising. As the name suggests, a Mamba was the model for the design.
The maximum length of the Mamba decanter is 34,5cm while it is 20cm wide. At the highest point, the snake's head so to speak, the glass decanter is 33,8cm high. The spout is designed at an angle, which optically reinforces the effect of a snake's head and makes drip-free pouring easy. The opening measures 3,7x4,7cm. The belly is the thickest part and is about 11,5cm wide and up to 8,7cm high. There is enough space for oxygen exchange and good stability of the decanter is also guaranteed. At the narrowest point, the tail end, the Riedel decanter has a diameter of only 7mm. This explains why you unfortunately cannot use cleaning beads for cleaning. The small metal balls that are otherwise often used for cleaning decanters could get stuck. Instead, we recommend rinsing the Mamba decanter several times with hot water immediately after use.
