Product properties
Contains:6 glass tubes with hibiscus flowers, juniper berries, orange peel, butterfly pea flowers
The alcohol is not included. A neutral grain-based alcohol is recommended, e.g. not matured bourbon or vodka.
By standard, Gin is clear and transparent and it actually looks pretty plain... In order to offer Gin enthusiasts a visual spectacle, DO YOUR GIN now has a color changing set. The set provides you with ingredients to make Gin yourself (alcohol not included!), then color it and finally make it change color with little tricks. A great gimmick to impress your guests!
First you add 1 tube of juniper berries per 350ml of grain-based alcohol and let it steep for 24 hours, so that the typical basic aroma of Gin is formed. In the second step, the DIY Gin is spiced and colored at the same time, with the butterfly flower giving a blue color and the hibiscus developing a red color. Now the drink is left to infuse again for 24 hours, then filtered and can subsequently be further flavored with your own choice of spices.
The color change that creates the effect is finally performed during serving by influencing the pH value of the drink. This has a direct effect on the dye of the butterfly flower: if baking powder is added, the color will be more blue, but if lemon juice is mixed in, the color will be more red.
The color-changing set comes in a flat cardboard box, with a banderole. When you open the box, you will find the 6 glass tubes with cork plugs, filled with the required ingredients. The set also includes a card with instructions.
Ingredients: hibiscus flowers, juniper berries (2x), butterfly pea flowers (2x), orange peel.
