The Eclipse™ Bar Blender made by Hamilton Beach scores with a compact size of 47cm, although it offers a big mixing capacity of 2,0l, refined technology and high performance. Moreover, in the digitalized age, it convinces with a pre-programmed menu that can be controlled via a small screen and a touchpad. Through this control center, you can choose from over 100 pre-programmed cycles, which are tailored to a wide variety of recipes for frozen drinks, smoothies, ice cream and soups. Just in case 100 possible presets are still too few for you, there is an extra USB port for an individual programming of the device.
Included in the Eclipse™ Blender's scope of delivery are the base, which contains the control center, the drive coupling and the engine, a 2l measuring container (BPA-free copolyester) and a removable sound enclosure. This is based on Hamilton Beach's Quiet Shield™ technology and makes the Eclipse™ one of the quietest blenders in the world. The shield can be opened to a maximum height of only 56cm. As soon as it is raised, the unit's motor immediately shuts off to prevent noise and accidents.
The blender's mixing container is reminiscent of a measuring cup. It is made of shatterproof, transparent polycarbonate and has got a handle attached to the top, as well as a vertical measuring scale with black digits. This is calibrated from 0,2l up to the maximum fill level of 2,0l in 0,1l increments. In addition, the jar is stackable with others of its kind.
During the mixing process, the Eclipse™ model impresses with the manufacturer's proprietary Wave~Action® technology. The purpose of this system is to ensure the smoothness of the outcome. For this reason, the contents of the cup are continuously pressed down into the stainless steel blades during blending, so that everything can be mixed evenly and into a homogeneous mass.
In order not to overwhelm the high-quality device, a temperature gauge has been integrated by Hamilton Beach. The blender warns the user if the motor is overheating, in order to prevent incorrect usage. The Eclipse™ Bar Blender also has a cool-down cycle to quickly lower the motor temperature and resume normal operation.
