Cold Drip or Dutch Coffee is a very popular and widespread method of preparation in Korea and Japan, which now slipped into our bars and coffee shops. Thereby, the preparation takes about 4-6 hours and is really simple: cold water drips slowly onto the coffee powder and extracts aromas and oils. Once the procedure is finished, you will receive a coffee concentrate low on bitter substances and acid, which can be served mixed with a little water. You can drink the coffee neat as well, but it is really intense and won´t meet everyone's taste. Furthermore, you can use this concentrate perfectly to prepare cocktails, aperitifs, desserts and coffee specialities.

Delivery contents

The Water Dripper Clear made by Hario is perfectly suitable for beginners as well as professionals who would like to try something new or solidify their skills. Thereby, the following pieces are included:

- water bowl, bowl for coffee powder, coffee pot including lid and sealant
- tap including sealant plug
- metal filter, paper filter, measuring spoon
- stand with silicone cleat

The tower as well as nearly all pieces are made of glass, acrylic glass or transparent plastic. Thereby, you will always have a great look "inside". Placed within sight of your guests, the Cold Drip device will attract many eyes and questions. For the sake of completeness, it should be mentioned, that the metal filter and the tap are made of stainless steel.

Preparation

After placing the coffee pot and bowl for coffee powder into the stand, put the metal filter into the small bowl and fill it with the desired quantity of your favourite coffee. Afterwards water the bowl a little, so that the powder gets soaked. Finally, place one of the paper filter on top of the powder. Thereby, the water can evenly flow through the powder. Fill the water bowl with water as well and place on top of the stand. The flow rate can vary due to adjusting the tap. Depending on flow rate, the preparation will take 4-6 hours from now.
