This heavy weighted mixing glass got the patented Libbey DuraTuff® finish.

This sturdy mixing glass has an ordinary shape and a common capacity of 414ml. It can be taken for all common Boston shakers because the mixing glass has excellent closing features. But it has a heavy weight and a massive base. Therefore it isvery stable and securely stands. These features are created by the patented DuraTuff® method! Libbey created a functional and high quality product which is available for a low price. Libbey launched several technical innovations which can be called their own and therefore Libbey patented as well the DuraTuff® method. Due to this treatment, the according glass becomes extra resistant and extra sturdy than conventional products. Thereby the upper glasse´s area is thermically treated. Therefore the existing tension in the material gets removed. Thus the glass itself is sturdier because it is more resistant against mechanical shocks and temperature differences.Glasses which are treated with the DuraTuff® method have a higher durability and they can withstand more cycles. One cycle means the whole usage process of one glass from to pour the drink into the glass, to rinse and right up to polish the glass.
