The two drinking glasses really stand out due to their inventive design. The hexagonal bottom is first followed by rounded, triangular ornaments and after the lower third of the glass, a twelve-edged glass rim. This somewhat antithetic combination resembles modern architecture while appearing classic at the same time. The unmatched elegance as well as the glasses' unique light refraction will capture people's imagination.
The decanter is kept comparatively simple, with clear shapes and more minimalist ornaments. The prominent glass stopper stands out as a real eye-catcher with a solid design. The carafe's brilliant and clear glass allows you to have an unobstructed look at the whisky before conveniently fixing yourself a drink.
The overall package with two glasses and the decanter is perfectly suited as a high-quality gift for many different occasions. Of course your own bar or club will also profit from the set and its touch of luxury! All pieces from the Aspen series are made of finest crystal glass and feature the usual Nachtmann quality attributes: high brilliance and clarity as well as increased break resistance! As a matter of course, you don't have to use the set exclusively for whisky – use it to serve soft drinks or whatever else you'd like to serve..
The origins of F. X. Nachtmann Bleikristallwerke GmbH go back to 1834. The glass cutter Michael Nachtmann initially produced bottles, jugs and drinking glasses together with 25 glassmakers in the glassworks Herzogau in Unterhütte near Waldmünchen. In the decades that followed, the company grew continuously and relocated the production site several times. Around the turn of the century, Nachtmann came to Neustadt an der Waldnaab, today's headquarters. Shortly after the production of lead crystal was introduced (1912), a new plant was built in Amberg in 1920. After the end of the Second World War and the reconstruction of the destroyed production facilities, the company started producing lead crystal again. The end of the 20th century was marked by takeovers and cooperations. In 1990 the well-known crystal glass factory Spiegelau was taken over and in the following year a production cooperation was entered into with Rosenthal AG under the technical and commercial management of Nachtmann. In 2004, the takeover of the company and its subsidiary Spiegelau by Riedel Glas created one of the largest quality glass manufacturers in Europe. Since then, Riedel Glass Works has combined the brands of the Austrian wine glass manufacturer Riedel, Nachtmann and Spiegelau.
