To get the best aromas out of red wines and to separate them from any turbidity, it is recommended decanting them before serving. This carafe is available to match the wine glasses in the 'Soiree' range from Spiegelau. Its protruding belly provides space for decanting 1 liter of red wine. Thanks to the shape of the decanter, the wine is exposed to oxygen over a large surface area, which leads to the effective development of aromatic substances. In order to prevent them from evaporating too quickly, the carafe has a long, narrow neck. Only at the upper rim it tilts outwards slightly, which is favorable for pouring wine into glasses.
The 'Soiree' decanter is 24,5cm high and has got a diameter of 17,3cm at its widest point. Its design is functional but rather simple, which is why it can fit into any ambience without being overly obtrusive.
