The glasses from the series 'Bossa Nova' by Nachtmann are based on the movement of the 1960s. They have the classical shape of a tumbler glass combined with a multifaceted woven design. The glass has a solid base and a fine cut design.
The tumbler glasses will surprise you and your guests with its conventional shape and high contrast design. They are perfect for longdrinks, classic cocktails and whisky.
The origins of F. X. Nachtmann Bleikristallwerke GmbH go back to 1834. The glass cutter Michael Nachtmann initially produced bottles, jugs and drinking glasses together with 25 glassmakers in the glassworks Herzogau in Unterhütte near Waldmünchen. In the decades that followed, the company grew continuously and relocated the production site several times. Around the turn of the century, Nachtmann came to Neustadt an der Waldnaab, today's headquarters. Shortly after the production of lead crystal was introduced (1912), a new plant was built in Amberg in 1920. After the end of the Second World War and the reconstruction of the destroyed production facilities, the company started producing lead crystal again. The end of the 20th century was marked by takeovers and cooperations. In 1990 the well-known crystal glass factory Spiegelau was taken over and in the following year a production cooperation was entered into with Rosenthal AG under the technical and commercial management of Nachtmann. In 2004, the takeover of the company and its subsidiary Spiegelau by Riedel Glas created one of the largest quality glass manufacturers in Europe. Since then, Riedel Glass Works has combined the brands of the Austrian wine glass manufacturer Riedel, Nachtmann and Spiegelau.
