The small Whisky glass from the beautifully handmade series 'Hommage Comète' sits on a wide thickened base. Its most appealing feature though is by far the attractive cut pattern of overlapping fine grooves on the outside of the glass.
When filled with colorful drinks such as dark Single Malt Whiskies or Cocktails built on them, the decoration breaks the light and carries the colors along the grooves. At the same time, the relief pattern gives the glass a familiar structure on the surface which feels elegant to the touch.
The small handblown Whisky glass promises manufacturing of the highest quality and satisfies the expectations for private and commercial uses. When given a turn by the hand, it almost seems like the flashing of passing comets is being caught in the crystal-like glass. Maybe that's what inspired the series' name: Comète?
